Tsitouras Clocks
Time synchronisation via GPS and radio signal
A bell-tower clock that runs fast or slow gets noticed by everyone. With GPS or radio synchronisation, the time corrects itself — every day.
The benefits
Why synchronise your clock
- 01
Accuracy
The time of the clock and of the bell ringing matches the official time.
- 02
Summer and winter time
The change happens automatically, without anyone climbing the bell tower.
- 03
After a power cut
The system finds the correct time again by itself.
- 04
For existing systems too
Ask us whether your own clock or bell-ringing controller can be upgraded.
How it works
GPS, radio signal or internet
GPS receiver: takes the time from the satellites, wherever the bell tower is — which is why it is the solution we usually recommend in Greece.
Radio synchroniser: receives the DCF77 time signal, broadcast from Germany. In Greece, its reception is not always stable, depending on the area.
Internet: systems connected to the internet can also synchronise the time through a time server.
In every case, the bell-ringing controller also keeps time on its own battery, so that a power cut does not upset the schedule.
