Since 1930

Our history

The tradition began in 1930 in Volos with Spyridon Tsitouras. In Piraeus, Evangelos Tsitouras continued it with a business of his own, and in 1979 he and his brother Georgios founded Tsitouras Bros Co. Today the third generation carries on the work with the same dedication to quality.

The craft

A heritage that continues

A bell is a work of art, but also a heritage. Its harmony and sound are the result of the right combination of diameter, height and weight, and of the purity of the copper–tin alloy.

Early on, the company invested in research: into bells tuned to a specific note, which together can form a musical scale — eight bells, for example, give a complete major scale — and into automatic bell-ringing systems.

For this research, the Piraeus Chamber of Small and Medium Industries awarded the company first prize for Know-how and Innovation.

With every bell we make, we honour this heritage and, at the same time, we innovate, so that the craft passes on to the generations to come.
